Michelle Gelok is a Registered Dietitian who brings together the science of nutrition and art of healthy eating.


Michelle’s passion for cooking, partnered with her extensive nutrition expertise has allowed her to publish hundreds of articles, meal plans and recipes with a focus on healthy eating, wellness, weight management and chronic disease prevention. She is dedicated to delivering evidence-based nutrition information in a manner that is both practical and achievable.

Since moving to the United Arab Emirates in 2008, her writing and recipes have regularly appeared in various international publications, including Chatelaine, CBC, Good Housekeeping, Aquarius magazine and The National newspaper, where she was a weekly columnist.  Michelle has collaborated extensively with Leslie Beck, one of Canada’s leading dietitians, and many of her recipes have been featured in Leslie’s popular books, including The No-Fail Diet, Foods that Fight Disease, Heart Healthy Foods for Life, and Leslie Beck’s Healthy Kitchen, as well as The Globe and Mail, Food & Drink (LCBO), and Huffington Post. 

Michelle graduated from Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada with a degree in Food and Nutrition before completing the Dietetic Internship Program at University Health Network (UHN).  She is a member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario, Dietitians of Canada and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
